EUNICE CATHERINE BULLOCH
(HALLS)
September 16, 1920 - September 26, 2021

With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Eunice on September 26, 2021 at West Park Manor in Winnipeg, after 101 years of a long and fulfilling life
Eunice is survived by her sons, Keith and Terry (Laurie); grandchildren, Randy (Syna), David and Michelle (Mike); great-granddaughter Emma (Matt); brother John (Ede); many nieces and nephews; and other family members and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Lyle in 2008. She was also predeceased by her parents, Alvin and Clara Halls; sister Nonie (Bill); daughter-in-law Anita and grandson Danny; and special nieces, Joanne Bulloch and Sandra Donald.
Eunice was born and raised, along with her younger siblings Nonie and John, in the Reston area of Manitoba. She met Lyle at the age of 17 and they were married October 8, 1939. When Lyle returned home after the war, they settled with their first son Keith in River Heights. Some years later, their youngest son Terry was born and shortly thereafter, they moved to Charleswood, where they proudly spent the remainder of their lives.
Mom was a hard worker and liked to keep busy. Her and Lyle were loyal members of the Charleswood Legion since its inception, and made many dear friends there. Mom was a long-time member of the Legions Women's Auxiliary, helping out well into her late 80s. She also enjoyed her part-time career in the Candy Section of her much-loved Eaton's downtown, which kept her in the most beautiful shoes for many, many years.
Eunice and Lyle travelled extensively in their retirement. Mom's favourite trips were the many winter escapes to Puerto Vallarta with family and friends. Among her many talents, the one most talked about by her "boys" was her baking, especially her pastry! "No one makes better butter tarts than my mom/granny" was a common phrase in our households. And they were right!
Mom loved her family unconditionally and provided such joy in all our lives. She formed strong bonds with her grandchildren and great-granddaughter and they all cherished her. We were blessed to have her for all these years. We will miss her so very much.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life and interment will be planned for the spring. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of West Park Manor, especially to the angels on 2 East, for the loving care they provided Eunice during the past seven years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
