SUSAN ELIZABETH WAH (OLAFSON)
Born: Aug 29, 1946Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or Memory
SUSAN ELIZABETH WAH
She will be sadly missed by her husband Larry; her two children, Darrin (Sue) and Tami (Al) and the lights of her life, her granddaughters, Hannah, Jessie and Jenna. She will be missed by her sister Helen; brother John and their children.
Mom was born in Winnipeg on August 29, 1946. She met Dad at CPR in 1965, they were married on September 2, 1967. Mom had a very successful career at Tyndall Park School where she retired in December 2013 after over 25 years of service at the same school. She made many friends along the way - most important was the "Old Broads Club."
Mom was happiest when surrounded by family, whether it was a family holiday or a Sunday supper. Mom's house was the meeting place. So many lessons were taught and will be carried on. Many sleepovers happened with her grandkids. All of her family shared her love for Pinawa. Countless hours were spent there with the people she loved most.
As per Susan's request, there will be no service.
Special thanks for the care received from St. Boniface Palliative Care team and the MAID team.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Susan's passing. My sincere condolences on your loss. Susan was a lovely person and whenever we saw one other she was quick to tell me of the latest activity she was doing or planning to do with her grandchildren. May your memories of her sustain you in the days ahead. Blessings to you Larry and your family. - Posted by: Sharon McGavock (Colleague) on: Oct 10, 2021
Although I haven't seen Sue in 4 years. I still remember all the times at Pioneer Bay Campground, Pinawa that when I walked by Sue and Larry's campsite....they would always say hi and welcome me into their lives. Best was 2 things....campfire and at the beach with her grandkids 😆 - Posted by: Tanis Mahood (Friend at Pioneer Bay) on: Oct 09, 2021
Ed and I would like to offer our sincere condolences to Larry and family on the loss of Sue. Although we did not know Sue on a deep personal level we did know her to be an incredibly kind lady who was quick to smile and say hello! It was very evident how much she enjoyed her time at PB with her family whether it was sitting by the fire, on the beach with the grandkids or out for a stroll. We hope that your loving memories of Sue will sustain all of you through this difficult time and that they will continue to lift you up as you go forward without her. - Posted by: Ed & Lori Gawiak (Neighbours from Pioneer Bay) on: Oct 09, 2021
