Wayne was predeceased by his loving wife, Elsie Dunsmore (nee Mackling) and his son Alan.
Wayne grew up in Winnipeg, lived in Russell, MB with wife Elsie and then Winnipeg again and wintered in Weslaco, Texas. Wayne enjoyed gardening and the fruits of his labour. He had a real joy for eating burgers, food in general, hobbies and most important to him, was that he loved his families and enjoyed time with his dear friends in which he would have no shortage of words. Wayne always had a smile on his face and a unique way of navigating his world.

I had the pleasure of assisting Mr. Gooch in the capacity of a Healthcare Aide. He was very appreciative of our visits. We shared a joke always followed by a laugh and told stories of our life experiences. I’m not sure who enjoyed the visits more me or Wayne. My sincere sympathies to all of Wayne’s families.
