It is with sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Joan Carleton.
Joan is predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Harry Chamberlain; brother Ron Chamberlain; first husband Aubrey Haynes; sons, David and Trevor and husband John Carleton.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy; granddaughters, Katelyn (Evan), Hillary (Kurtis) and Alexandra (Chris); grandson Michael (Rachel); great-granddaughters, Aubrey, Kennedy, Trudy and Ashlyn; great-grandsons, Henry and Isaiah; daughter-in-law Luane; John's son Gary (Cindy); daughter Lynda and grandchildren, Robyn, Kelly, Lisa, and Andrew; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Throughout her life, Joan's greatest pleasures were times spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whether at her home in Winnipeg, the cabin at Traverse Bay, MB, the condo in Victoria or the trailer up at Lake Cowichan, BC.
The family would like to thank the staff in the Memory Wing of Amica on the Gorge for their patience and dedication caring for Joan.
Cremation has taken place. Internment and a celebration of Joan's life will be held in the spring of 2022.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.

I try and cope the best I can
but I'm missing you so much.
If I could only see you and
once more feel your touch.
Yes, you've walked on ahead of me,
don't worry I'll be fine.
But now and then I swear
I feel your hand slip into mine.

Miss you Mom!
