RENE EMILE LACOSTE
He was predeceased by his parents, Rosario Lacoste and Katherine Crabtree; his brother Lawrence Lacoste; his sister Joanna Byrne and brother-in-law Ed Byrne.
Rene is survived by his sister Doreen Cluett and his children, Gerald (Chris), Bryan (Lisa), Richard (Lisa), Donna (Peter) and Debbie (Jim), as well as nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Rene was a very social person who lived most of his life in south eastern Manitoba. He loved hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. He cherished his trip to Alaska and his cabin in the woods. He would be best remembered for owning Chez Rene in LaBroquerie and Reeve for the Municipality of LaBroquerie in the 1970s and 1980s. Rene visited many properties throughout south eastern Manitoba selling farm insurance and as an Adjuster for Manitoba Crop Insurance. He was well recognized in the communities and loved running into long-time acquaintances while out for coffee or dinner. There weren't many places he could go where he didn't know somebody.
Due to Covid restrictions, a private family service will be held at Green Acres. Condolences may be forwarded to www.greenacresfuneralhome.com
