MICHAEL DE BEER
May 19, 1962 – October 14, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mike on October 14, 2021, at the age of 59.
Mike will be deeply missed by his mom, Laura, his siblings, Harry (Debbie), Wilma (Hilary), Mary-Anne (Ted), Larry (Bernadine) and Donna (Larry), and his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his dad, Henk, and sister-in-law, Cindy.
Mike will always be remembered for his unique sense of humour and his personality. Mike had a great love of sports and made many lifelong friends playing golf and hockey and watching NFL football, especially the Raiders.
Over the last 35 years Mike worked with well-known architectural firms in Winnipeg as an Architectural Technologist and Construction Administrator, including the last five years collaborating on projects with his good friend Jackie at Bouwen Architecture. Mike leaves behind many lifelong friends in the design and consulting industry he worked in and the contractors he worked with on a variety of projects.
A celebration of Mike's life will be held at the St. Boniface Golf Club on Wednesday, October 27 between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Covid 19 rules apply.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Many fond memories of Mike in the trade. Sharp guy. Always laughing our arses off whenever I saw him on a jobsite. I mean laughing really hard. Will miss him. Ron Olson - Posted by: Ron Olson (Buddy I met through the industry) on: Nov 22, 2021

  • Too many Mountbatten & Greendell (hockey, baseball, cub scouts) memories to count. One thing I've never forgotten is that the only year I ever scored more than a handful of goals was playing wing, with Mike at center and Darren Boyko on the other wing. - Posted by: Scott Swanson (Childhood friend) on: Oct 27, 2021

  • Our most sincere condolences to Auntie Laura and family and friends. Thinking of you at this time. Shannon, Kerry, Amber, Heather, Megan & Erin. - Posted by: Shannon & Kerry Williams & Family (Cousin) on: Oct 25, 2021
