March 13, 1929 – October 19, 2021

Nona, as he was nicknamed, was a birthday gift from his mother Maggie (Devlin) to her husband Ludovic, who was also born on March 13. Dad grew up a quiet kid in the Metis village of St. Laurent, MB. He helped on the family farm with his nine siblings.
In 1949 he met a 17-year-old schoolteacher who eventually became his wife. Our mother Therese (Petit) and Dad celebrated 67 years of marriage on July 24, 2021. The result was Larry, Margaret, Paul, eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Dad retired early from C.N.R. after 37 years, and he and Mom spent many winters in Yuma, AZ. Dad's favourite type of vacations were the driving kind. They had driven all over North America. He also took up bowling and golfing and enjoyed both into his 80s. Our mother and the rest of the family will miss him and his subtle sense of humour.
No service is planned at this time, and interment should be in the spring.
Special thanks to the staff of Oakview Place and Actionmarguerite, where he spent his last year under their kind care.

Rest in peace Dad.
