Unexpectedly, on October 16, 2021, Shirley Jennings passed away peacefully in the Hospital in Grandview, Manitoba at the age of 77, with her family at her side.
Left with fond memories are her husband David Jennings; son John and Carol Balan, grandchildren, Lucas and Sydney of Winnipeg; daughter Sheila Balan of Grandview, granddaughter Ellysse, great- grandchildren, Darcy, Kaylee, Nathan, granddaughter Elizabeth, great-grandsons, Hunter, Austin, Bentley; son Richard and Tracey Balan, grandsons, Max and Jack of Edmonton; daughter Maureen and Troy Storey, grandsons, Dylan, Branden, Austin and Logan of Grandview; step-daughters, Stacey, Tanya and Pam of Ontario; sister Joan and Ray Bloomfield; brother Roy and Cathy Clements; not to mention over 100 nephews and nieces on the Clements, Jennings and Balan sides of her extended family.
Shirley was born in Winnipeg on January 5, 1944 to Irwin and Hilda Clements. Shirley loved gardening, the outdoors, painting, knitting, sewing, socializing with friends, but her focus was always on her family.
As per Shirley's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
Should friends so desire, a donation can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Canada in memory of Shirley Florence Jennings (nee Clements).

  • We were so saddened and shocked by Shirley's passing. Please accept our most sincere sympathies for your great loss. Shirley was a beautiful person inside and out, and the world was a better place because of her. She will be terribly missed by her family and by all those who had the opportunity to know her. Heaven will now have another sweet angel, and I will always treasure and cherish our friendship. To Dave and her dear family - May God bless you all and grant you a small measure of comfort and peace in the days and weeks to come. Rest in peace, my dear friend. God will keep you safe and free of any more pain. - Posted by: Gloria Chizick (Friend) on: Oct 23, 2021
