Dearest Matthew, not a day goes by where we do not think of your smile and your laughter and your beautiful personality. You would have been 35 this year and we would have all celebrated together. You always knew how to have such a good time and make everyone feel welcome. Robert has so many of your best qualities, you both would love spending time together. Sometimes when he smiles or stands, he looks just like you when you were little. He has even started wearing some of your favourite shirts. We miss you and Peter so much. It has not gotten any easier and it still feels like yesterday that you were with us. We love to talk about you both and
remember all of the memories but it's always with tears in our eyes. We love you with all of our hearts, love your family.

  • I folded a yellow crane today with many memories all with a smile. Brian - Posted by: Brian Cox (Friend) on: Oct 25, 2021

  • I was honored to teach Matthew when he was in grade 4. My memories of him are of a young boy with beautiful hazel eyes, and someone engaged in life and curious about everything. His origami creations, sense of humor, and kindness were gifts to us all. He faced his physical challenges with a patience that was an example and inspiration to me. My condolences as you remember him. He continues to be a gift. - Posted by: Lydia Penner (Matthew's grade 4 teacher) on: Oct 25, 2021
