BONNIE KATHRYN OWEN
(nee MAYER)
March 16, 1951 - October 18, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bonnie, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, at her home in Stead, MB.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 51 years, Peter; her children: Alexander (Kathleen), Jon, and Kimberly (Mike); grandchildren: Mercedes, William, Nancy, Dominique, Gabriel, James and Matthew; great-grandsons: Carlen and Colt; sisters: Valli Ann, Paula (Glenn), Janyce (Phil), and Laura; sister-in-law Mary-El; brother-in-law Michael; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bonnie was predeceased by her son Kirk; parents, Irene and Peter Mayer; and sister-in-law Colleen.
Bonnie loved to travel, enjoying many trips with Dad, friends and family all over the world. Her favourite place was Hawaii - making many visits there over the years. Also an avid sports fan, Mom rarely missed one of her husband's, kids' or grandkids' hockey, football or baseball games. She was "mom/grandma" to the entire team, their biggest cheerleader, and made friends in the stands wherever she went.
Due to Covid restrictions, a private family service has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
