THOMAS CRAIG HARROP
1948 - 2021

Tom of Surrey, BC passed away October 17, 2021. Tom was born in Winnipeg on July 25, 1948.
He was survived by his wife of 48 years, Teri (nee Goffried of Gimli, MB); their daughters, Dana (Steve), Tahnee (Luke) and grandsons, James and John.
He and his soon to be wife moved to White Rock in 1971, where they made their home for the last 50 years. His family lived on a farm outside of White Rock, where the kids rode horses, went on camping trips and skied at Whistler.
He enjoyed all sports, soccer in Winnipeg and played left field with a baseball team, claiming never to have missed a catch. He played hockey in the old timers league and in 1991 at the age of 43, he ran in the annual Richmond Flatland 10 km race in under 40 minutes.
Tom worked for the City of Surrey Parks Deptartment for 20 years, but he was passionate about music, playing guitar all around the area and loved local jamming. He played with many fine musicians, some famous and many became good friends. Tom and Teri spent ten years enjoying their vacation trailer on Pender Island, where he played tennis, golf and won the local snooker tournament. They were fortunate to sail around the Gulf Islands with good friends. For Teri's retirement, they went on a Rhine River Cruise, visiting Paris and Monaco.
Tom loved to have fun and his quick wit, humour and stories will always be remembered with a smile. He fought a hard battle with cancer, but was stoic to the end. Now he can Rest in Peace. We will all miss you Tommy.
