SADIE NAGY
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Allan, of 55 years, sons, Kevin and Owen (Erin), daughters, Lynn (Jim), Michelle and Nicole (Nick), grandchildren, Ryan (Ashley), Emily (Brandon), Danielle (Cyril), Clarissa (Kyle), Allyn, Coral, Harrison, Kaylee, Eva and Corinne, and great-grandchild Rowan.
She was predeceased by her brother-in-law Denis (Sandra), and survived by sister-in-law Emily (Nester) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sadie was born in Limavady, Northern Ireland and arrived in Canada in 1965 along with her best friends, Louise, Bridie and Francis to pursue their careers in Nursing and in search of adventures. Canada was the first stop in what was planned to be a world tour for these young ladies. The tour came to an abrupt halt in the first city they stopped in (Winnipeg), when all four met and married the loves of their lives. The four remained very close throughout their lives while they raised their families, adding to their ranks another "aunt" as they were affectionately referred to by the children, Norma.
Sadie will also be remembered by numerous other nurses and healthcare professionals following her 45 years as a Registered Nurse at Victoria Hospital, as well as by fellow parishioners at St. Vital Parish, and countless people from the Community of St. Norbert.
A memorial service will be held at Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St., Winnipeg on November 4, 2021, 2:00 p.m. Fully vaccinated guests only, please.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sadie's name to the charity of your choice.

I had the pleasure of working with Sadie at Victoria Hospital on Pembina in the 2000's until her retirement from Nursing. She really was such a wonderful, caring, compassionate lady who loved to share stories about her kids and their sports, where they were running off to on what evening, and of course, bingo and scratch tickets. She was a great support on the floor for new nurses (I was a newbie at the time), she loved to teach and mentor. My heart goes out to all of Sadie's friends and family. We have missed her here at Victoria Hospital but so happy she had a wonderful life full of love and laughter and good memories. She will never be forgotten.
