Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I first met Hetty in 1987 through a mutual friend Ken Strom who had bought a place in Pembina. Hetty was a pioneer in the whole Pembina parcel business long before the internet. She was always very accommodating and a super lady to deal with. Always cheerful with a smile on her face. I looked forward to visiting with Hetty any time I was in Pembina. I was hoping to see Hetty again after restrictions were lifted and it saddens me that another great soul is gone too soon due to cancer. Thankyou Hetty for your great hospitality and friendship over the years. Say hi to Ken Strom on your new journey. - Posted by: Timothy Sullivan (friend) on: Nov 07, 2021

  • I can say I was honored to be considered a friend of Henry Walker. I met her almost 20 yrs ago. During this time I was a customer of her parcel service and remined in contact as much as we could. We shared interest in many civic and political issues and had many visits with both her and Charles before he passed. Hefty Walker was an inspiration to me. She was vibrant and involved right up to her becoming ill. Unfortunately, we were not able to visit her during Covid and I will miss her dearly. - Posted by: Rick Thiessen (Friend) on: Nov 05, 2021

  • So sorry to hear. She is a great lady. - Posted by: John Baier (Friend) on: Nov 05, 2021
