August 6, 1943 - October 30, 2021
We are profoundly saddened to announce the sudden passing of Shirley on Saturday, October 30, 2021.
Shirley was predeceased by her son Shaun; parents, Marg and Ralph Dayment; and brothers, Ken and Bob. She will be sadly missed by husband Rick, son Mike (Jennifer), daughter-in-law Denise, sister Barb, Susan and Steve Velie, Bonnie Dayment, and her very much beloved grandchildren, Matthew, Abby and Ella.
Shirley was the ultimate stay-at-home mom, devoted to raising her two sons and managing the home, which she was so proud to do. Shirley cherished her summers spent at the family cottage in Matlock, her favourite place. Time spent with family was very special as well as enjoying many laughs with friends Barb and Val.
As per Shirley's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service.
A special thanks to all the home-care nurses who have enabled Shirl to have a good quality of life over the past months.
