Phyllis was born in Oak River, MB, September 11, 1929, the first child of Emily and John Kopnitsky. As a child she lived a carefree life in a farming community before moving to Brandon with brothers and sisters to attend school. Her life took many twists and turns before she finally settled in Winnipeg where she lived and worked for the rest of her life.
A small family service and burial occurred September 15, 2021 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery with the assistance of Friends Funeral Service.
The family is grateful for the help and compassion shown by the doctors, nurses and staff of the Concordia Hospital, especially Justine, who cared for our mother.
