IRENE LILLIAN HILL
She will be sadly missed and lovingly
remembered by her sons, Ken (Debra), Tim and her daughter Carol. Her greatest legacy was her family, six children, thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. As children and young adults, they were lucky to experience life with her and will always treasure their fond memories of her.
Irene was predeceased by her husband Gordon, son Bobby, daughters, Lynne and Shelley, and other family members whom she loved dearly.
Mom was a strong and determined woman, whatever hardships she endured, she was able to use her strength to overcome them.
Mom will be remembered by all who met her for her kindness and great smile. She loved being outdoors tending to her yard,
garden and flower beds. She was always up for a cup of tea and her homemade sweets when anyone would drop by for a visit.
To celebrate our mom's life, we are
planning a private memorial for immediate family members.
In lieu of flowers, consider donating in
Irene's name to the Alzheimer Society.

Sorry to hear of the passing of "Grandma Hill". She was a sweet lady with a big heart. I will always hold fond memories of Christmas Eve family visits at Grandma's when I was young. She always had the best homemade dainties and candies on the table. Please accept our sincere condolences. Rob, Mona & Ryan O'Neill and Kyle & Kolby Gibson. - Posted by: Mona O'Neill (Grandaughter) on: Nov 10, 2021
Louis and I knew her as Gramma Hill. This strong and wonderful woman was our daughter-in-law Terri’s Gramma. We remember her as a lovely and busy person. She will be sadly missed by all who cared for her. Our deepest condolences to all her family. RIP - Posted by: Darlene Fisette (Friend) on: Nov 09, 2021
So sorry for your loss. Remember all the friday night sleepovers with my good friend Bobby. Your mom was so generous and kind and will be missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Bob Kayanka (Family Friend) on: Nov 09, 2021
We were neighbours on Dalton for approx. 8 years. I used to give her my rhubarb from my yard and she would make me this wonderful rhubarb cake. I think of her often over the years. She was one of the nicest ladies I knew. Last I talked to her was when Lynne passed away. I will still think of her often. Sorry for you loss. - Posted by: Julie & Bob Cowie (Neighbours on Dalton 70s early 80s) on: Nov 09, 2021
Gramma, we were blessed to have you for so many years. I will always remember your quiet strength, gentle laugh and amazing Christmas cookies. I know your twinkling eyes will be watching over us all. Forever in our hearts. Terri, Todd, Michael & Jenna - Posted by: Terri Fisette (Granddaughter ) on: Nov 06, 2021
We will always remember your Mom. She was a very special lady. Irene and our Mom shared their name. So 2 Irene's. Two astonishing women. We were a family of 7 and with your 6, we were quite a bunch. Memories of us all crowded into your little kitchen on Dalton Street. Our brother Marcel would always make a point of inviting your Mom to DeGrave family gatherings when our Mom would come to visit. Your Mom always had a big smile and never forgot a name. May she share a cup of tea with our Mom. Rest in peace, Irenes, you both deserve it. - Posted by: DeGrave Family (Family Friend) on: Nov 06, 2021
