DIANNE MARGARET MCCALL
Date of Passing: Nov 06, 2021Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or Memory
DIANNE MARGARET MCCALL
She was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Margaret, as well as her brother Paul in 2018, and her dear companion Lady the quarter horse.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Laura (Gerry); son David; and her grandchildren, Brendan (Pooter) and Avery (Mouse).
Dianne worked for many years with Ducks Unlimited as Executive Secretary until she retired in 1997. She loved various types of music, playing tennis, was passionate about her horse, and adored her grandchildren especially.
Our Mom had a great sense of humour and very sharp wit, and shared a very special relationship with her sister-in-law Madalyn, and loved sharing stories of their antics from back in the day.
She also had many special friends through her time at Ducks Unlimited as well as many "horsie" friends, who she shared many special times and rides at Clear Lake and other favourite riding spots.
A small family gathering will be held at a later date. We would love to hear about your memories of Mom so please feel free to leave comments below.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.

When I think of Dianne – I find myself smiling. I worked with Dianne for many years at Ducks Unlimited (a good friend outside of work as well) and have so many great memories of her and some of the antics we collaborated on. A very kind and caring mom, co-worker and friend as well as having a great sense of humor - Dianne’s laugh was so contagious. My condolences to Laura, David and their families on their mom’s passing. Sincerely, Sandi & Richard Hall - Posted by: Sandi Hall (Friend and co-worker) on: Nov 14, 2021
Mom….I miss you already. This beautiful picture the kids chose is just one of so many pictures in my mind I choose to remember you by. So many memories. I’ll always cherish our time together on this earth, now more as an adult / parent then ever, but being with you as you took your final peaceful breaths, just you and me is one memory that I’ll never forget. As my dear friend said, it was you and I together as I came into this world and you and I together as you left …. I love you Mom. I hope you are having a grand reunion with Nanie, Grandpa Earl and your big brother Paul ….. (and Lady too of course) - Posted by: Laur (Daughter) on: Nov 13, 2021
To me, Dianne was my best friend, Effie and I was her best friend, Mrs. A. Nothing will change. I am writing a tribute to her, to be sent to her daughter, Laura. I will always love you, Effie. Ride on with Lady forever. Look after Mitch for me. Mrs. A - Posted by: Pat Alvestad (Friend) on: Nov 13, 2021
I just remembered a story I liked to tell about Dianne. She had a sign on her desk that read “Do you want to talk to the man in charge or the woman who knows what’s going on”?! That pretty well sums it up! Stew Morrison - Posted by: Stew Morrison (Working colleague ) on: Nov 13, 2021
Dianne and I worked closely as colleagues at Ducks Unlimited for many years. She was a very competent Executive Secretary and I enjoyed working with her. RIP Dianne. Stew Morrison - Posted by: Stew Morrison (Colleague ) on: Nov 13, 2021
