FUNK, Frances "The two most important days of your life are the day you are born and the day you discover why." -Mark Twain Frances loved to tell stories. Joy followed her everywhere. One never wondered where Frances was just follow the laughter and there she would be, entertaining an audience. Seemingly ordinary moments became extraordinary, as she interpreted life through the eyes of eternity. The story of a water buffalo was transposed to the love of her Saviour, Jesus Christ. This was her favourite story to tell. The story of Jesus. Frances loved all things beautiful. With her advice and adjustments, she would beautify anything if allowed to. Frances loved people. Friends became family and family became friends in her presence. "Go put the kettle on and let's have a chat", was an invitation frequently extended. Wisdom was in no short supply. Many life-altering conversations happened during those times. Frances loved her family. She was predeceased by her husband Jake of 59 years, and by her infant daughter Airdrie. She will be missed by her son Colin (Cindy), daughter Jocelyn, and treasured grandsons, nieces and nephews, and many cousins and friends. On October 29, 2021at 10:29 a.m. in the comfort of her bed, under the loving care of family and friends, Frances at the age of 83, entered into the joyful presence of her Saviour, Jesus Christ. Due to restrictions burial will be a private family gathering. A picnic for family and friends to honour Frances will be held in the summer.
