LOUISE ANITA CORMIER
April 12, 1945 – November 8, 2021
Left to remember her is her beloved son Denys (Julie), brothers, Rheal (Debbie), Gilbert (Yvonne), daughter-in-law Cindy (Brent), step-grandchildren, Gerald (Alex), Jennah (Jeff), Colin (Kassi), and her treasured granddaughter Danyelle. She also leaves many nieces and nephews whom she cherished dearly.
Louise was predeceased by her parents, Annette and Moise; brothers, Leo and Jean Paul; sister Marcelle, sister-in-law Lori, and her beloved son Michel Nault.
Louise was born in La Salle on April 12, 1945 where she lived for 15 years on the family farm until she moved to Winnipeg and eventually began her career as an LPN at St. Boniface Hospital in 1964. Over the years, Louise worked at a variety of jobs but one she enjoyed most was her work at Red Cross as a Disaster Manager.
Louise loved to help others and was awarded the Queen's Jubilee Commemorative Medal in 2003 along with a Distinguished Service Award in 2015 for all her volunteer services at the Canadian Red Cross.
We like to express our gratitude to Cathedral Manor for making her last few years enjoyable, where she made many new friendships. She loved to go to prayer service with her friends and would enjoy their company afterwards. We learned not to call on Tuesday evenings as she always looked forward to Bingo night. We would also like to thank her many friends that took the time to visit Louise and would play cards or Bocci with her. Louise loved her games.
We would also like to thank St. Boniface Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion which was much appreciated by the family.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at St. Timothy's Parish, 135 John Forsyth Rd. Guests will be asked to show proof of vaccination and I.D. Masks are mandatory.
To honour Louise's memory, and in lieu of flowers, please do an act of kindness for someone. That would bring a smile to her face. Or if you prefer, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Red Cross.

My heart goes out to all the family. Louise and I were friends for many years and we endured several sad times together and many great times. We bowled for for 20 plus years together along with volunteering at the Canadian Red Cross for the long also. We also worked together.
