LINDA CATHERINE HEINDL
(nee McSWAIN)
Predeceased by her husband Barry James Heindl; Linda leaves behind her daughters: Farah Murphy, (husband) Michael, grandsons, Riley and Finley; and Roxanne Chopee, (husband) Matthew, grandsons, Lucas and Cameron, and granddaughter Alexis.
Linda was born June 15, 1948 in Melville, Saskatchewan to the late Elmer and Helen McSwain. She then moved to Winnipeg where she was raised alongside her sisters, the late Lana Halldorson, Leeann Partridge, and brother, Mark McSwain.
Linda was a proud member of I.A.T.S.E local 63 where she worked with most of her lifelong friends and family. Linda was a mentor to so many people who worked with her. She was a pioneer for women taking on elected union positions, and offering support to her sisters and brothers.
Linda was a loving and caring mother. She will be remembered by her family and friends and will forever be in our hearts.
A special thank you to the staff at River East Personal Care home for their compassion and care over the years.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba is graciously accepted.

Gone from our sight, but never from our memory. I remember working with Linda on many sit-down shows at the Concert Hall during the heyday called the 90’s. She was a joy and inspiration to be around. I also remember the Linda that worked countless hours on the executive of IATSE trying to improve the lives of the membership. I hope these words bring some measure of comfort in this time of grief… - Posted by: Barny Haines (Friend) on: Nov 15, 2021
