They immigrated to Winnipeg in 1957, along with their two children, Tony and Liz, for a better life. They made many close friends in their new home, entertaining generously. They enjoyed almost 67 years of happy marriage, travelling to many destinations, such as New Zealand, Hawaii, Europe and many of the United States. Her family wishes to also express their sincere gratitude to the staff and residents of Clover Bar Pioneer Court, and to the nurses, doctors and staff at CapitalCare Strathcona Heritage House for the care and kindness kindness shown to Mum during her stay there; thanks also to Fr. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Gwen and Ken were our next-door neighbours. Right from the first day, they made us welcome. We soon became very good friends and Gwen was a mother figure to us when we were starting out life in Winnipeg. We soon came to enjoy her generosity and we enjoyed many good times socializing in each others homes. We have wonderful memories of those happy occasions back in the seventies. Our deepest sympathies to Elizabeth, Bill and Tony and the members of the extended family. - Posted by: Patricia, Larry and Hanevy family (Gwen was a wonderful next-door neighbour and good friend to us in Winnipeg.) on: Nov 20, 2021
