LUCILLE G. KENNEDY
(CHARETTE)
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Lucille Kennedy on November 10, 2021.
Lucille will be lovingly missed by her husband of 36 years, Ted Kennedy; mother Ethel Charette; sisters, Sylvia Charette, Valerie (Phil) Unger, Michelle (Mark) Jackson and father-in-law Patrick Kennedy. Lucille was predeceased by her father Lucien Charette and mother-in-law Diane Kennedy.
Lucille was born at the Health Sciences Centre Woman's Pavilion in Winnipeg, MB on July 25, 1965. She married the love of her life Ted on July 27, 1985. Lucille was a Production Manager during her very successful career of over 30 years at Jostens and Life Touch. Lucille had many friends throughout her time working and many lifelong friendships that she cherished deeply.
Aunty "Lou", as everyone called her, will be forever in the hearts of her eight nieces, one nephew, seven great-nieces and five great-nephews. She was always there with words of encouragement and loved each one of them dearly.
Lucille loved spending time with Ted and their dog Tucker in their beautiful back yard relaxing and gardening. She made their home the center of the family where birthdays, holidays and milestones were celebrated. She welcomed everyone with open arms and was extremely generous. She also loved when family and friends joined them at the cottage in Belaire, MB where relaxing was mandatory.
Lucille was a faithful Christian woman who loved God. Her faith was an essential part of her life.
"I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and fortress, my God, in whom I trust...Psalm 91:2
Our family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at St. Boniface Hospital CancerCare and 4B for their extreme kindness, compassion, and exceptional care given.
Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial will take place in December 2021.

Such shock and disbelief after hearing of Lucille's too soon passing. Although it's been many years since I've seen Lucille; it was an incredible privilege to know and work with her. Her work ethic and professionalism; her positive and respectful attitude and approach to all things; her willingness to learn and try new things; her kindness and generosity of spirit; her lovely smile and most importantly her love for Ted...just a few of the things that made Lucille the Super Star that she was. She made a difference! She was one of a kind and so well loved. - Posted by: Bev Gunnarson (Former coworker ) on: Nov 20, 2021

Lucille…I had the honor and privilege to call her my dearest friend. I first met Lucille when we worked for Jostens. As others have mentioned, I also only remember her as happy, positive and quick with her laughter. Our friendship grew to include her wonderful and loving husband Ted. We had on many occasions enjoyed playing golf and Christmas get together’s to name a few. Even though we didn’t see each other often in the last few years she was always in my prayers and thoughts. I love and miss you Lou and until we meet again… My sincere sympathies to her loving family and especially to Ted. Lucie Engen - Posted by: Lucie Engen (Dear friend) on: Nov 14, 2021

To know Lucille was to love her. I had the blessing of her calling me “Dad”… an honour to be sure. Lucille was a caring person who put other’s needs before hers. She was genuinely curious and very interested in what was going on around her. Her husband and loyal fan my son Ted, was truly smitten with her… she was the sunshine in his life. Lucille had a heart as big as Texas and she held many souls that she loved in it…and they were blessed. “Love me….love my dog” seemed to be her philosophy and to witness the love she shared with her feline companion Tucker was heart warming. She was a family cornerstone and will be sorely, lovingly missed. - Posted by: Patrick Kennedy (Father In Law) on: Nov 14, 2021

Lucille and I met when we were 13 in grade 8 at Edmund Partridge Jr. Hugh School in West Kildonan. We were best friends, we grew up together, without her I would not be who I am today, and for that I am forever grateful to Lucille and her family. I started work at Jostens in 1985 and convinced Lucille to come work there with me, we car pooled for a few years until I went on to sell Real Estate and Lucille stayed on at Jostens and had a very successful career as Production Manager. Lucille was such a wonderful person, seriously the kindest most loving friend, daughter, sister and wife. My heart goes out to Ted, Ethel, Sylvia, Val, Michelle, Darlene and all who loved Lucille. This will be so hard for all of us to get through. You grieve as hard as you loved, so there will be many tears as Lucille was so loved by so many. With a broken heart I say farewell to my forever friend, Lucille, I loved you until the very end. - Posted by: Robin Sherman (close family Friend) on: Nov 14, 2021
