KATHRYN KUHL

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Kathryn Marie Kuhl on November 10, 2021.
Kathryn was born to Henry and Jocelyn Kuhl on June 14, 1984, in Winnipeg and was the youngest of three children. Even as a child she loved nature and was especially fond of animals. With growing up on a farm there were always numerous cats and dogs to love, care for and confide in. Her love of music became evident at a young age and continued throughout her life.
Kathryn was a compassionate, intuitive, and gentle soul with a passion for helping others. Her training in education and social work opened the door to working with troubled teens and youth through St. James School Division and Portage Collegiate Institute. Several years ago, a dream of hers began to emerge, and with great thoughtfulness, hard work and dedication Heart to Heart Counselling Services came into being.
Kathryn had three beautiful children who filled her with pride and joy. She knew their hearts, and loved each one as the unique individuals that they are. They meant the world to her.
She will be lovingly remembered by her beloved children, Ewan, Alara and Livia Leonhart, her mother Jocelyn, father Henry and partner Karen Braun, siblings, Kristen (Kelly Gray), James (Kendall), and her nieces and nephews.
A family viewing will take place on Friday, November 19, 2021 followed by a family burial on Saturday, November 20, 2021. Later on Saturday, a private reception honouring Kathryn's life will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Klinic Community Health or Bruce Oake Recovery Centre.
