FAIZUL HOSEIN

It is with deep sadness that the family of Faizul Hosein, 76 years old, a lifelong resident of Winnipeg, Manitoba, announces his passing at St. Boniface Hospital on Thursday, November 18, 2021.
Left to cherish Faizul's memory are his mother Kassiran, sisters: Nasiran Lahiri, Shaffiran Ali, Hafeeza Ganga, and brothers: Azad, Wazir, Ishrack, along with nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was predeceased by his brother Amar Hosein (2002) and his father Mohammed "SamJohn" Hosein (1966).
Faizul was born in town of Charlieville, in Trinidad and Tobago on October 16, 1945. The first eldest son in the family.
Growing up in Trinidad, Faizul went fishing and swimming with his siblings. He played cricket, soccer and loved to read. He went to Presentation College in Chaguanas. At a very young age Faizul and his brothers worked by driving production/gravel trucks.
Faizul came to Winnipeg in 1968, graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in Economics. He worked for the Provincial Government which he took great pride in.
Faizul was greatly loved and will be greatly missed
Faizul was kind, quiet, had a great sense of humour and had a quick wit with others. He will be dearly missed by all those who got to know him over the years.
In lieu of flowers, please offer an act of kindness in memory of Faizul or donations can be made in his memory to a charity of your choosing.
Prayers to take place Wednesday, November 24 at 11:00 a.m. at the Manitoba Islamic Association Grand Mosque 2445 Waverley, with burial to follow at Glen Lawn at 12:00 p.m.
