It is with great sadness and profound sorrow that the family announces the passing of Frances, our beloved Mother, Oma, and Nana, on November 15, 2021.
Mom was born in Schuschara, Yugoslavia on July 23, 1925 to Johann and Franziska (nee Pfanner) Niesner, the youngest of three daughters.
As a teen, she travelled to Austria and worked on a farm. There she met the love of her life, Frank Muller, husband of 60 years.
Left to cherish her memory, daughter Erika Van Steelant, son Walter (Colleen) Muller; grandchildren, Leaha-Marie Van Steelant, Lisa (Mike) Neale, Elaine Muller, and Curt (Kaitlyn) Muller; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Abigail and William Neale, all loved so very, very much. Predeceased by husband Frank (2008), parents, Johann and Franziska Niesner; sisters and their husbands and three nephews; Mom's mother-in-law, Katerine; brother-in-law Michael and sister-in-law Marie Muller.
Mom was very accomplished and a real lady. She mastered a number of numerous trades, farm maid, cook and baker, meat handler, sewing machine operator, plastic manufacture worker, and best of all a terrific homemaker, who loved to prepare amazing meals and entertain family and friends.
Upon retiring, Mom helped with charities with the CWL and the St. Joseph's Senior Club, Church bingos, Senior Bake and Craft sales. Mom made many lifelong friends throughout the years, and loved to show off her love of plants and flowers in her house and well-kept beautiful garden.
Mom you gave so much love, care and joy to your family, to know you was to love you. We were all blessed to have had you in our lives, you will live on in our hearts and memories.
Special thanks to Dr. D. Miller, who looked after Mom's health for many years, to the nurses and staff of the 4th floor Beacon Hill Lodge for their care and compassion through the three years in the home.
Funeral service was held by invitation and COVID-19 restrictions, on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul.
