In Loving Memory

We are saddened to announce the passing of our brother, son, father, and grandfather at the age of 52.
Ron held a strong relationship with Creator and never gave up doing his best to serve the Lord, regardless of how lost he seemed he always held onto his love and faith. His relationship with God was one of humility and we know this because he was always up front and remorseful of his shortcomings but still kept his faith and hope for His forgiving grace. In the face of adversity he always managed to make someone smile and would give the clothes off his back if he felt someone else needed it more. Ron was the kind of guy that made friends with people before they even realized and became friends for life thereafter.
Ron is survived by his mother Nelliane, sisters, Eila (Jimmie) and Tanya (Stewart), and younger brother Scott (Margaret) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Ron also leaves behind four beautiful children, Bryn, Ariel, Montana, and Michael John and their children. We are so grateful to all the people who shared in our family's life through Ron and have also become a part of our hearts forever.
With Ron's outgoing and loving nature we are certain that he made many relationships with others living on the streets of Winnipeg and in shelters these past few years and we extend our thoughts and prayers to them. We would also like to thank the workers that provided supports for him in meeting his needs during that time.
Ron lays to rest in his home community of St. Theresa Point First Nation. We would like to invite donations be made in his memory either to the church rebuilding fund ( or to the Main Street Project (MSP).

We love you Ron.
Always have and always will.

  • I am saddened to hear of Ron’s passing. I remember him going to school in Teulon. He was a quiet gentle man and always very kind. Sad to hear he struggled but now maybe at peace with himself. My condolences to his children parents and siblings. - Posted by: Michelle Hazelton (Brocker) (High school friend) on: Nov 27, 2021
