She lived her entire 92 years in Winnipeg, where she devoted her time to family, friends and work at the Bank of Montreal. Jean was a tireless worker and passionate about education, travel, playing cards and her crafts, especially knitting and crocheting. She remained active in charitable giving of her time to the Catholic Women's League at St. John Brebeuf, the Girl Guides of Canada (Trefoil Guild) and St. Mary's Academy where she, her daughter and granddaughter were all alumnae.
Jean was predeceased by her parents, Teofil and Stefania Grabiec and her husband Stanley.
She is survived by her three children, David (Marian), Mark (Heather), Monica (Del) and her two grandchildren, Jenna and Matthew, who were her whole world. She was also predeceased by two sisters-in-law, Beatrice Green and Sister Phyllis Green and survived by two sisters-in-law, Sister Evelyn Green and Edna Yansa.
Cremation has taken place and a private family burial will occur in the future. Anyone wishing to honour Jean may donate to the bursary funds at St. Mary's Academy or St. Paul's High School.
