MARY KUZ
(nee KACHUR)
April 2, 1925 November 17, 2021
Mary leaves to mourn her daughters, Marlene Skrinski (Peter) and Valerie Moskal; grandson Kyle; brother Joseph Kachur (Josie); sister-in-law Lilly; brothers-in-law, William Pura and Mike Yaremko and many nieces and nephews.
Mom was born and raised on a farm in a small town in Saskatchewan. She was the fifth eldest of seven siblings.
She eventually moved to Winnipeg, where she began her long career in the food service industry, working and catering for several different restaurants. Her last job was at the Hudson Bay store downtown in the Georgian Room. She worked there for several years and then retired.
Mom brought joy to everyone she met. She had a great sense of humour and loved to joke around. She loved Ukrainian music, gardening, cooking for her family and casino hopping.
She was a member of the Holy Eucharist UCWLC for over 50 years and was very devoted to her church.
She showed great strength and courage, never complaining, even as her health started to decline.
We wish to thank all the nursing staff on the 5th floor nursing station at the Grace Hospital for their kindness and care to Mom.
If so, desired donations can be made to the Holy Eucharist Parish, 460 Munroe Avenue, Winnipeg, MB in Mom's memory.
A private family funeral has already taken place.
Mom, we love you and we will miss you very, very much.
Condolences for the family may be left on the Korban Funeral Chapel website.

Aunt Mary was one of a kind. Loving and caring, especially to Jimmy, her favourite comedian. Her garden vegetables were always perfect through her care and she always shared what she had with others. Always grateful for life through many hardships she endured. She will be sadly missed, but we will always cherish her memory. Our most sincere and heartfelt sympathies go out to her family.
