JANET ARLENE WICKENDEN
(nee RICHARDSON)
January 10, 1962 – November 23, 2021

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jan.
Jan was born in Winnipeg and grew up in Crestview, where she met the love of her life Todd. Jan and Todd moved to Alberta in the early 80s but soon returned home and set up roots in Eriksdale, where they raised three children, whom she was extremely proud of.
She enjoyed entertaining and one of her great joys was sitting around a bon fire with many neighbours and friends, or later in life, sitting in her sunroom watching her grandchildren play.
She was predeceased by her mom Mary; dad Jim and stepmom Kathy. Left to mourn is her husband of 36 years, Todd; children, Sydney, Kendal (Travis Monkman) and Cole; grandchildren, Kylee, Drake, Daylen, Arianna, Emery and Kane; sisters, Nadine (Marty) Coubrough and Lynn Toews (Jeff Enright); along with many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to send a special thank you to her work family at Eriksdale School for all their kindness and support throughout the years, and to the staff at Eriksdale Hospital for their caring and compassion in the final days.
As per Jan's wishes, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation Inc., 675 McDermot Avenue, Room ON 1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • So sad to hear of Jan's passing. Although we have not chatted in a very long time, I will not forget our years together working at the medical clinics. She was always a great lot of fun at work, or after work, but was always very professional when it came to our job, and was a hard worker, always giving %110. She taught me so much, which played a huge part in where I ended up today. Will always be grateful to her, for her sharing her knowledge with me. Sending Condolences to all Jan's Family and those who loved her. Rest easy Jan! - Posted by: Leslie Forsyth (Past Co-Worker) on: Dec 07, 2021
