KATHERINE SOFIA EVERETT
(nee STRANGER)
July 17, 1940 – November 13, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and aunt. Peacefully, with her family by her side, Katherine left us.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Hughie and Tony, her grandsons, John and Michael, her brother Dennis Stranger, and her many nieces, nephews and in-laws. She will be missed.
Katherine was predeceased by her husband Russell Everett, her parents, Solomon and Annabella; sisters, Betty, Nellie May, Ollie and Jeanette; brothers, Leslie, Frank, Melvin, Roderick, Earl, David, Freeman, Jim, Ernest, Winston and Franklin; in-laws, Dennis, Joseph, Ernest, Eileen Hudson, Alfred and Clarence.
Katherine loved family gatherings, the beautiful outdoors, and the Red River Jig (which she was pretty good at). During the flooding season in Peguis she would sometimes sit by the riverbank and see what "floated" by that day.
The family wants to say thank you to the Peguis Senior Centre staff. We are deeply grateful for the loving and wonderful care given to her these past few years. Thanks to Percy E. Moore Hospital doctors and staff for their support and care provided to her.
A special Thank You to our cousins in Peguis who helped Mom and our family enormously during the last two years.
There will be a memorial service held at a warmer date.
