They tell me life's a journey
That will take me many years
Some das are filled with laughter
And some days are filled with tears.
Some days I think my heart will break
That I can't persevere
Some days I have to don a mask
And hide beneath it's veneer
Some days I turn to look for you
With thoughts I'd like to share
some days I just can't understand
The reason you're not there.
Some days the sadness leaves me
And my smile will reappear
Some days I close my eyes because
Your memory is so clear.
Some days I struggle to go on
Just wishing you were near
Most days I spend in gratitude
That you were ever here
Though your smile is gone forever,
And your hand we cannot touch
Still we have so many memories
Of the one we loved so much.
Your memory is our keepsake
with which we will never part
God has you in his keeping
We have you in our hearts.
It is sad to walk the road along,
instead of side by side.
But to all there comes a moment
When the ways of life divide.
You gave us years of happiness
Then came sorrow and tears,
But you left us beautiful memories,
We will treasure through the y ears.
Lovingly remembered Jo-Ann, Kalynn and Gavin, Bryan, Mike and Carla, Emma, Claire and Hannah
