Treasured recollections increase as the time goes by, but so do the aches of missing best friends. Two lives lived to glorify God, became even greater when lived together. Mom and Dad were very different from each other, but they respected those differences. They must have been blessed with patience and a deep understanding of grace, to have lovingly raised four daughters.
Without knowing it, my Mom was an exceptional role model for her daughters and her nieces. Mom's sense of humour and healthy dose of curiosity led to never-ending learning about people and skills. She forgave abundantly. Mom invested time in people, and then she loved them even more.
My Dad did not have superpowers, but he is still my hero. He was the example of forgiving people whatever the situation. Dad insisted on doing the right thing, especially when no one was looking. He realized that when people are hurting, they hurt other people and we likely don't know why. Love them even more.
I want to be like my Mom and Dad they wanted to live for Jesus.
