NEEDHAM, Mavis Eluned (Lynn). It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Lynn Needham on November 16, 2021 at the Willowview Personal Care Home in Reston, MB. Born in Antler, SK on September 7, 1933, she and her family moved shortly after to Sinclair, MB where she spent her childhood years. She married Ray Needham on July 21, 1950 and together had five children. Dad owned the Massey Ferguson dealership in Virden for many, many years. Mom spent every day keeping the books and helping in the parts department while also raising a large family. After selling the business, they raised cattle and grain farmed in the Routledge area until Dad's passing in 2005. Our mother was devoted to her family. She loved to bake for large gatherings and get-togethers with friends. Mom enjoyed knitting and gardening. She kept everyone supplied with jams, jellies, apple pies, canned fruit, homemade soup and buns. No one left her house empty handed. She also thoroughly enjoyed attending special performances and events at the Auditorium Theater. She spent many hours at festivals, school functions and sporting events watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted grandma. We are eternally grateful to her for her kindness, dedication and her loving mother's heart. Her absence leaves an immense void, but her memory remains forever. Our mother was predeceased by husband Ray, son Bob, great-granddaughter Brynn, her father and mother Glynn and Mavis Jones, her brothers Byron and Robert and her sister Gwyn. She is survived by her children, Donna, Janet (Don), David and Shirley (Murray), 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grand-children, and one great-great-grandchild. She also leaves to mourn, her sister Phyllis, sister-in-law Ann and many nieces and nephews. We wish to thank Dr. Roux and the wonderful nurses and staff at the Willowview PCH in Reston for the loving care our mother received. A Celebration of Life will take place in the spring with the details to be announced at a later date. Burial has taken place at Virden Cemetery. For anyone wishing to do so memorial tributes can be made to Willowview Activities Department, Box 250, Reston, Mb., R0M 1X0

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)
Lynn and family were like family to us when we moved to Virden in 1972. We spent many hours together and have great memories of our 5 years in Virden and visits since. - Posted by: Russ and Cheryl Waugh (Long time friends) on: Dec 13, 2021
