  • Both Shirley and Arden were wonderful people. and very generous to me when I babysat. There were always drinks and treats put out for me and anything that I wanted. Shirley always had a smile on her face- Just a lovely woman. She always looked beautiful when she was all dressed up and they were going to a dance. I have a picture with the two princesses when I was crowned the Queen of the Air Cadet Ball in 1960. Arden was one of the civilian sponsor committee members along with the commanding officer of the RCAF Station Southport, commanding officer G.C.J.C. Frizzle in the picture . Shirley was with Arden at that special event I will never forget. Peace be with you all. Hugs - Posted by: Mary Anne Bruce (former babysitter to Barry and Eric) on: Dec 05, 2021
