It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father John Robertson on the morning of November 27, 2021.
He is survived by his dear wife Gail, daughter Jennifer (Rob), son Spencer (Gillian) and numerous cousins in Winnipeg, Edmonton and NewCastle, England. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Andy and Peggy.
John was born December 19, 1945 in Newcastle, England. His family came over to Canada when he was eight years old. He was extremely proud of his English heritage and adored his parents. John worked for Eaton / Bay Financial for many years and was the top salesman in Canada for them for several years. He then went on to sell investments for MacKenzie Financial through his own small business Pinnacle Financial Services. John had a great passion for travel, particularly road trips. He had been through almost everywhere in Canada and the US during his road adventures. He remembered every experience vividly as if it was yesterday and loved to share these stories with family and friends. He had a great love of anything near the water including boating, fishing and water sports. His most memorable times were spent boating and relaxing at his cabin at Shoal Lake. He loved to get out on the water during the day and be a part of the family's trivial pursuit games in the evening. He loved to tell stories. He could make anyone laugh with his stories about out-running a bear or the crazy monster faces he loved making for the kids. He will be greatly missed.
Private family service to be held.

  • Vera and I were so sorry to hear the news about John. I first met John at Eaton Bay Financial Services and fortunately learned a great deal about the financial service business thanks to him. John had a great deal of knowledge that he shared with everyone and a great sense of humour and we all enjoyed many laughs together over the years. Our condolences to Gail and family. • It breaks our hearts to hear that our very dear friend Johnny has passed away. Knowing that we will never see his face or hear his voice leaves a big hole in our hearts. He had a heart of gold, always helping anyone who was in need of a helping hand.We have many fond memories of John and Gail, spending time with them at their cottage or going out for dinners and special occasions. We always enjoyed his funny stories, never a dull moment with Johnny. He is in heaven with Jesus and his angels and his loved ones who are no longer with us and we are sure they welcomed him home with open arms.Heaven has been blessed by another very special angel called Johnny. He is up there in heaven making everyone laugh, that was our dear friend Johnny. The hardest thing to do is say goodbye, so this is not goodbye as we will meet again some day.
