June 12, 1922 - November 29, 2021

On the morning of Monday, November 29, 2021, Dad passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Simkin Centre.
Previously deceased by his wife Sylvia in 2021 (December 6), Dad is survived by two sons, Shim Gary (Joann), and Ron (Linda); five grandchildren, Melanie (Duane), Jon (Dana), Evan, Ashley and Michael, and three great-grandchildren, Owen, Taylor and Carlynn.
Dad was very happy to have a dear friend in Evelyn in his later years. A special thank you to Arthur Cohen for his friendship with Dad.
Dad enjoyed a fulfilled and active life until a bad fall in mid October. Unfortunately he was not able to fully recover.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 2 at the Rosh Pina cemetery.

  • I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Selig's passing. Yes, its Mr. Selig. Bring back those teenage years working at the Kings Theatre. On a rare occasion, I am sure "we" gave him a hard time, He deserved our respect.   • He was always Mr. Selig to me. He was a wonderful manager and teacher. He frequently made me laugh. He was a fun guy to work for and always made me feel at ease.
