  • So sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. I worked with Tom for many years at #1 and enjoyed every moment with him. He was an excellent leader for us and had a sense of humor all his own. We’ll miss him. - Posted by: Terry Proctor (Friend) on: Dec 19, 2021

  • I grew up with Tom and he was like a brother to me. I felt that I was a member of the family. We had many friends over the years and Tom was a major part of my growing up. I met my wife Marlene thanks to him because she was a friend of Marge also she was a cousin to him. My wife Marlene grew up with Tom from birth and lived in the same block on Henry Avenue. We had many good times together over the years. Marlene loved him like a brother even though he always teased her. Me and my wife are going to miss him dearly. Marlene and I express our thoughts and prayers to Marge, Kim, and Tanis and the rest of the family. - Posted by: Steve & Marlene Gural (Cousin) on: Dec 12, 2021

  • Tom and I worked together for years at 20 Station and at one station and again at two station on different shifts. Tom took me under his wing when i started the fire department in 1977. He was like the brother i never had. We lived close together for years in St. James and often car pooled together. We kind of lost our connection after Tom moved to the Tyndall Park area. Both Tom and Marg were very close to me and we once shared an adventure to pursue a business career sideline.that took us across the land to Toronto and Windsor. Unfortunately that failed. I also help Tom and his family move several times to new homes which seemed quite frequently. we shared a lot of common interests like football and hockey. I had not heard from Tom for a long time since our retirements but my memory of him will last forever. - Posted by: Bruce Meyers (Coworker and Best Friend) on: Dec 04, 2021

  • Marjorie I am so sorry to hear that Tom passed away. He was a great friend but lost contact with him. I enjoyed working with him when we both got on the St James fire department.
