BERNARD ROBERT
Bernard was predeceased by his parents, Albini Robert and Clarinda Girouard and his brother Gilles Robert. He leaves behind his sisters, Gisele Marion of Lac du Bonnet and Monique Robert of Burnaby, BC, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bernard grew up on the family farm in Aubigny and developed a strong love of animals, especially dogs. He bred and showed Dashshunds for many years and was very proud of all his champions. He was an honest man, a great conversationalist with a quick wit and sense of humour that saved him in many different situations. Over the years he had many different careers, baker, chef, penitentiary clerk, phlebotomist, but worked many years at Casinorama in Ontario in different levels - teaching dealers, dealing, pit boss and more. He was a world traveller, enjoyed music and even played the accordion in his younger days. He loved cards and was an avid reader, having to resort to audio books the last few years because of failing eyesight.
Bernard would be grateful for donations to the Winnipeg Humane Society or Siloam Mission and prayers for his soul.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no service. A private family gathering will take place at a later date. Family and friends are able to leave condolences and share memories by visiting Bernard's memorial page at seasonsfunerals.ca
