EMIL DELNEA
The 'Cat' is the closest they come to a superhero; his uncanny ability to cheat death was nothing short of supernatural, and yes, all (most) of those stories were true! Emil was a larger-than-life personality; he was loud, fiercely protective, unapologetic, authentic, funny, witty, and he will be missed dearly.
Emil is survived by his wife and best friend Leslie and their three children, Jace, Jesse and Camryn; his "sisters," Cindy, Susannah, Maureen, Tracey, Lisa, Chris, Marilyn, Sandra, Betty and Rhonda; his "brothers," John, Russ, Dany, Greg, Andy, Mike, Wayne and Jim; numerous nieces and nephews and so many close friends he considered family (you know who you are).
Emil was predeceased by his "parents," Bill and Bea and Sylvester and Anna and his brothers, Norman and Richard.
Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
Emil always had a story to tell, beginning with, "Did I ever tell you about the time ." We encourage family and friends to honour his memory and visit his tribute page at EthicalDeathCare.com. Memories and stories published by those who knew him are available there.
"To all in my life, Jace, Jesse, Camryn and my wife Leslie . the backbone of our family, I am very proud that I was blessed with your presence in my life." - Emil Delnea

We would like to offer our condolences to the family. Emil was truly a great personality and we are so glad that we had the opportunity to get together with him and the family at the Guraliuk cousin reunion at Sherwood Forest a few years ago. May his memory be eternal. - Posted by: Ken and Denise Klippenstine ( Guraliuk) (Cousin ) on: Dec 06, 2021

I also had the great pleasure of working with and getting to know Emil Delnea. We worked together in Community Corrections out of 10 Midland Street. Working with Emil was always a pleasure as well as an adventure. Work was always done well, but not always like everyone else or the so called norm! People were treated as individuals and received the respect they deserved! Life revolved around his wife and children and whatever they were doing. I will miss ya buddy, you were loyal, fierce, trustworthy, solid, hilarious, and all around great guy! Save me a Pilsner in heaven! - Posted by: Mark Richard Soltys (Friend and past co-worker) on: Dec 05, 2021

I had the great pleasure of working with Emil at the Manitoba youth center. Emil left his mark either through his jokes or life lessens. I enjoyed working along Emil. He was one of the best co workers I liked to partner with. There is no question how much he loved Leslie and his three children, as he talked about you when ever he had the chance . He will missed dearly safe journey my friend. Kelly Fright - Posted by: Kelly fright (Work friend) on: Dec 04, 2021
