Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I was glad to have Ed in my life. We worked together at CFAD Rocky Point, where he helped set up the new Missile Maintenance Facility in the mid 90's. He developed all sorts of tooling and processes to make the work easier and safer. To this day, the device we use to enter and service the launch canister is referred to as "the Ed Sled". He'll be missed by those of us that worked with him. My family had the pleasure to visit Ed (Sharon was in hospital at the time, so we didn't see her) at the home in Belmont. Thanks for sharing Ed with us. Pat Wade - Posted by: Pat L Wade (Co-worker) on: Jul 25, 2022

  • We are saddened to suddenly learn of Ed's passing, after trying to contact him. I knew Ed while growing up in Flin Flon and attending Hapnot Collegiate. Later, Noreen & I re-connected with Ed through the Manitoba Camera Club and then through the Manitoba cross-country ski scene. Ed was both a skier and a photographer at ski races throughout the province. Ed - we will both miss your cheerful voice and your interest in what is happening in our lives. Rest in peace, friend... - - Posted by: Glenn & Noreen Duncan (friends) on: Dec 28, 2021

  • I am so very saddened to learn of Ed’s passing. Ed joined our extended family when he married late Sharon. I have wonderful memories of Ed and his outstanding photographs which regularly appeared in the Baldur-Glenboro Gazette. I wish to extend my deepest sympathies and sincerest condolences to all his family. May the sun forever shine upon his face and the wind always be at his back. He will be greatly missed but fondly remembered. - Posted by: Norman Guilbert (Cousin by marriage) on: Dec 17, 2021

  • My condolences to Ed's family. Ed was one of my baseball coaches in the 1950s. We reconnected here in Winnipeg and attended several Flin Flon Luncheons. During his time in Flin Flon he was an active member of the Photography Club and many of his photos are displayed on the Flin Flon Heritage Project website. R.I.P. friend. - Posted by: Phil Gies (friend) on: Dec 13, 2021
