JOYCE ELIZABETH TAIT

Peacefully, on Friday, November 26, 2021, Joyce Tait, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away at the age of 82.
Joyce was born on February 11, 1939 in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. The travel bug hit early, and she soon moved to Manitoba at the ripe old age of 19. Once there, she was employed as a telephone operator for MTS. Eventually, she met the love of her life, Gerald Tait and they had a son and daughter, Bruce and Barbara.
Joyce had many hobbies and interests. She loved to read, garden, paint and create pottery. Her interest in the Arts led to formal studies at the Univerwsity of Winnipeg in the 1970s. Through the years, she took on several part-time jobs to help pay for the family's various wants and needs. When she wasn't busy with family issues and friends, she canvassed for the Canadian Cancer Society. Joyce was known for her hard-working demeanour, pleasant disposition and infectious smile. And even though she was kind hearted, she had a serious side as well. Everyone knew it was Joyce who ran the Tait household.
Joyce was predeceased by her husband Gerrald; father; mother and daughter. She is survived by her son Bruce; sister Eunice and nieces, Carsen and Rana.
Joyce will be cremated and interred in the Tait family plot. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. She can now be reunited with Gerrald and Barbara in the Land of Angels.
