RUSSELL REGINALD KRUSZELNICKI
March 6, 1946 - December 4, 2021

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Russell Kruz. His kind and gentle soul passed away with his dear friends, Joyce and Deborah, there by his side to say good-bye and we loved him as he left us.
But he was in many peoples thoughts, as he fought to stay with us. My son Michael McKechnie, David Sullivan, Margaret Desjarlais and Debbie Smith, Mitchel Babisky, Jan Figler and many more whose lives he touched, because his friends were his family. A family is everything in our short stay in this life. Also all his friends and neighbours of Wolesley.

In tears we saw you sinking,
we watched you fade away.
You faced your task with courage,
your spirit did not bend.
But still you kept on fighting,
Until the very end.
God saw you getting tired,
when a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around you,
and whispered, "Come with Me".
So when we saw you sleeping,
so peaceful, free of pain,
We could not wish you back,
to suffer that again.
You didn't deserve what you went through,
So He took you home to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
For He only takes the best.

  • I'm going to miss you Russell, the last time we spoke you called my number by mistake and asked for Shirley, I replied Squirly Shirley is out chasing men trying to get some nuts..... after about 10 seconds you said I'm sorry I've dialed the wrong number, I burst out laughing and you said @#$% you Shantel your such a brat .. We talked for 30 minutes about our aches and pains, reminisced about the good ole days and spoke of the future. The last thing you said to me was I'm glad I called the wrong number and I agreed, we said goodbye and we would talk again soon. I wish I would have called back to tell you how much you meant to me through those dark years Russ and that your presence in my life was nothing short of a Godsend. Thank you for being a good friend to a lost girl, forever in my heart Shantel. - Posted by: Shantel Seneshen (Friend) on: Dec 12, 2021

  • I first met Rusty in the 70’s when he worked for my Dad and Joe Waisman at the Mount Royal HΓ΄tel. His brother Len lived at the hotel and the two of them were characters. Rusty was one of the best servers that ever worked for us. He always showed up and did his job. We could count on him. His brother Len was another story. Rusty was always kind, but he knew how to keep the law when he was working. I know he will be missed. - Posted by: Dave Grant (Old Friend ) on: Dec 12, 2021
