MARCUS BAIRD
November 27, 1985 – November 29, 2021

Marcus Baird, age 36, died unexpectedly on November 29, 2021. Marcus was predeceased by his grandfather Fred and grandmother Nellie.
Marcus is survived and lovingly remembered by his father Troy; mother Tina; stepfather Roger; his two sons, Xavier and Isaiah; his brother Nick; sister Eve; stepsisters, Ashley and Meredith; his grandparents, Jasmati and Ivor; his aunt Samantha; and uncle Parrish (Shelly), uncle O'Neil and uncle Ivor. In addition, Marcus leaves behind many cousins, friends and extended family who mourn his loss and will continue to honour his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Marcus was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on November 27, 1985. Marcus spent a portion his young life living in Stonewall, Manitoba, where he excelled in many sports and had formed many friendships. Marcus enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors. You could usually find him adventuring with his childhood best friend Mike. As Marcus grew up, he developed a passion for carpentry and went on to start his own construction business. Marcus's greatest pride in life was the birth of his two sons. Marcus never forgot about them and the thought of his sons kept him going until his last days with us. He loved them very much and had hoped to reunite with them one day.
Marcus had the ability to put a smile on anyone's face with his big, sweet smile or his quiet laugh. Though Marcus battled many traumas, he continued to try to be resilient in the face of those battles. Marcus loved all of those around him with everything he had. Marcus touched many lives, all that knew Marcus knew that despite what may have happened in his short life, that he had a good heart. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Marcus, we pray that your soul has found peace. You will be missed forever and always, the beautiful memories you shared with us will never be forgotten. May you rest easy big brother.
A private memorial service will be held and Marcus will be laid to rest in Monominto Cemetery.
