MARY ROLFE
Mum was born on June 20, 1925, emigrated to Canada with our dad, George and three daughters in 1958 and welcomed a fourth daughter in 1960. Sadly, our dad passed away in January 1972 and now she has finally gone to join him.
Mary is survived by her four daughters, Theresa (Robert), Katie (Chuck), Anne (Ron), Colleen (Bob) and 10 grandchildren, Erinn, Lindsay, Brad, Kristy, Paul, Tim, Brendan, Katie, Emily and Mahrie. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
Mary was a lifelong member of St. Ignatius Church. Following her retirement from the Office of Vital Statistics, where she worked until she was 71 years of age, she devoted her attention to St. Ignatius Church, where she attended daily mass and was an active member of the prayer group and the shawl ministry, knitting shawls for the shut-ins and those in need.
Mum loved the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Sundays at Gimli beach and most of all spending time with her family.
We thank those at her nursing home who showed her love, patience and care.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 16 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Ignatius Church, 255 Stafford Street in Winnipeg.
Anyone wishing to attend would be most welcome, but are required to be double vaccinated.
