David, you and I were good friends back in the late seventies and early eighties. We'd lost touch over the years but I thought of you and of those days often. I'm so sorry to read of the loss of your wife and I wish you and the family the absolute best. I would love to reconnect so feel free to contact me anytime. - Posted by: Timothy Salzman (Friend of David) on: Sep 26, 2024

David Blackadar, I was in Winnipeg in High School and we went to the same church and were friends for several years. I was so happy for you when you met Lisa who was truly a loving, caring person. It was always evident that the Holy Spirit was molding her into the image of Christ. I cannot imagine your pain and loss and I pray that the God of all Comfort will comfort you. If you ever need to talk Dave, please don't hesitate to call or email. Your brother in Jesus, Ron Barnes - Posted by: Ron Barnes (Friend of David Blackadar) on: Oct 20, 2023

My deepest condolences to Lisa and Dave’s family. We knew Lisa through Dave because my late husband Mark and Dave worked at the same company for many years. My parents also knew Lisa and Dave because they had attended the same church in Oakbank. We didn’t know Lisa well but she seemed to have such courage and strength. Our hearts were touched by the relationship that Dave and Lisa had and the huge battle that she endured with cancer. It wasn’t an easy road. The important thing to take away from this is that she was a Christian and is now pain free and with Jesus. Thinking of the family during this difficult time and saying a prayer that the Lord will give them strength and will lift them up. Big hug. - Posted by: Darlene Typa (Friend) on: Dec 25, 2021
