WILMA KATHLEEN REYNOLDS, RN
August 4, 1945 - December 20, 2021

From a fog of grief and sorrow, we announce the death of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. After a long and difficult illness, she died peacefully at home. All who knew her loved her.
She navigated the thin and sacred space between earth and heaven with characteristic grace, patience, and flashes of humour.
Wilma is survived by her husband Dr. J. L. (Larry) Reynolds; children, Liz of Winnipeg, Matt (Petra) of Brandon and Sarah of Toronto; grandchildren, Lia, Jake and Amara; and brothers, Walter (Marilyn) and Ron (Lynne) Braun of Morden.
Her funeral is planned for Saturday, January 8, 2022, 2:00 p.m., at St. Margaret's Anglican Church, 160 Ethelbert at Wolseley.
Due to Covid restrictions, in person attendance is set to 100 people. Proof of vaccination is required for all vaccine eligible people and masks are mandatory. Please register on Wilma's page at richardrosin.ca to attend.
The service will be livestreamed through the YouTube page of the church www.saintmargarets.ca and will be available after the service at richardrosin.ca.

  • Wilma and I grew up together in the same rural community, went to the same church. When it was time for me to marry my sweetheart, Wilma was our organist. Unfortunately, we were late coming from the photographer, so she had to play the prelude again. She was so understanding. We did not keep in touch over the years, but what a joy it was to meet her and a daughter checking the pattern book at Fabricland. Now, my condolences go out to you, her family. May the Lord's presence, comfort, and peace carry you in the days ahead. - Posted by: Kathy Maendel (Friend) on: Dec 26, 2021

  • I met Wilma at Winkler Bible Camp, and quickly learned to love her. She and Mary welcomed me to share their tiny basement suite when I needed a temporary home. Not only did I find safe shelter, but sisterly mentoring. Who can forget Wilma's sparkling smile, her infectious laugh, and her appetite for fun? Often, she sat at her piano, letting the music soothe her and prepare her for yet another night shift at St. B. One evening she paused and looked at me as emergency vehicles announced their mission. "It always sends a shiver down my spine. We're not supposed to let it bother us, but I can't help it. I think my caring helps me be a better nurse." I know it does, Wilma. My sincere condolences to you, Dr. Larry and to your precious children. The caring Wilma lavished on you is surely deeper than what her patients knew, and her love cannot be taken from you. God grant you His courage, comfort and peace. - Posted by: Pat Gerbrandt (long ago friend) on: Dec 22, 2021
