Condolences & Memories (10 entries)

  • To Lori and family - I am shocked to have just learned of Bob’s passing. I first met Bob as a Police Constable in Altona, Manitoba. Bob was extremely dedicated to the Policing profession and a very knowledgeable man. Whatever task Bob took on, he gave 100 percent. He was one of the easiest people to become friends with because he and Lori were very welcoming and made everyone feel special. We spent a lot of time together with Bob and Lori In the “ good old Days”. Roseline and I still have the brass wall hangings that Bob and Lori gave us as a gift when we moved from Altona to Winnipeg. Our careers took us down different paths and my biggest regret is losing touch over the years. Lori, from Roseline and I, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Rest In Peace Bob From your friends Roseline and Norm Carter - Posted by: Norm Carter (Friend/ co worker) on: Aug 31, 2022

  • I am so so so very sorry to hear about the passing of (Uncle) Bob. Please know my thoughts are with you all at this terribly difficult time. - Posted by: Kayla Flockton (nee Funk) (Family Friend) on: Jan 04, 2022

  • So sorry to hear about Bob. We worked together in an office space at WRHA. He was kind, thoughtful and a big help in our office. He always brought a good story, milk and cream for the fridge, was the one to empty the office dishwasher without fail or complaint, and we could always count on him to disarm the alarms at work. His presence is greatly missed here. May he rest in peace. - Posted by: Josi (colleague) on: Jan 04, 2022

  • My sincere condolences to you and your family, Robyn. The stories you shared with me of your dad made him “larger than life” and conveyed just how special a family relationship you all shared. Will be thinking of all of you, Lynn - Posted by: Lynn Maskiw (Friend) on: Dec 30, 2021

  • My sincere condolences to the family. I first met Bob in ‘96 and always knew him to be friendly and outgoing. It’s terrible to see a dedicated family man leave us at such a young age. - Posted by: Jim Dudgeon (Colleague ) on: Dec 25, 2021

  • I worked across the hallway from Bob at RRC. He was such an affable man with great stories. I missed him and his stories when he left. I will never forget the time he caught a young guy stealing from an office. He chased him out of the college and down Notre Dame about 3 or 4 blocks until he finally caught him. Bob was huffing and puffing and said, "I thought he'd never stop!" The young guy had said, "I was surprised I couldn't out run him" Rest Easy Bob and may memories bring some comfort to your family. ~Melissa - Posted by: Melissa Fontaine (previous co-worker) on: Dec 24, 2021
