KENNETH (KEN) JOHN FOSHANG
November 11, 1936 - December 17, 2021
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Glenda, daughters, Jayne and Kelli (Bob), and granddaughters, Randi and Alli. He will be greatly missed by his brothers-in-law, Donald and Ken, sister-in-law Joyce and his niece, nephews, and many friends. Ken was predeceased by his parents, John and Louise, sister Violet, and niece Valerie.
Ken was born in South Junction, Manitoba on November 11, 1936 but lived most of his life in Winnipeg spending 35 years working for Manitoba Hydro. Ken retired at age 55 to spend the next many years travelling with Glenda throughout the southern United States enjoying the relaxed lifestyle and beautiful winter weather. It was in Arizona that they both took golf lessons and became avid golfers throughout the next many years. In more recent years Ken and Glenda travelled to Cuba, Mexico, Hawaii, and Florida.
Ken was a kind, caring and generous man who provided advice and support to whoever asked for help. He was forever helping others in whatever way he could, always happier giving than receiving. His passions included golf, fishing, reading, visiting friends and making DVDs of his many travel adventures. He was a lover of animals and spent as much time as he could with his granddogs, Ripley. Zoee, and Poppie.
A sincere thank you to the staff at Kildonan Personal Care Home for all the love and kindness that you showed to Ken.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service as per Ken's wishes.

Starting out as neighbours, the Foshangs became long time friends of my parents. So sad to hear of Ken's passing. I remember him as a knowledgeable, happy and kind person. Even to this day I still refer to him as "Mr. Foshang"...had such great respect for him. Fond memories I have as a kid, was being able to swim in their backyard pool. What great neighbours! My condolences to Glenda and the rest of the family. Rest In Peace Mr. Foshang. - Posted by: Lisa Vasarevic Brunet (family friend) on: Jan 07, 2022

Our thoughts and prayers to the Foshang Family. Sometimes it is the little things that mean the most. Growing up in Windsor Park, our family appreciated the friendship and happy memories that made Mr. Foshang such a wonderful neighbor. We are truly blessed to know Ken. Mr. Foshang was my neighbour growing up. He was a very kind and friendly person. Anytime we asked, he always made sure their pool was uncovered so my siblings & I could go for a swim during the warm summer months. He will be missed. - Posted by: Nancy Burns (Vasarevic) (Friend) on: Dec 31, 2021

I worked for Ken as a trainee when he was the Operating Supervisor in Thompson. I had many conversations with him when he was in the Employee Relations and Compensation Department. He always took the time to listen and understand other employees concerns. Ken was instrumental in my well being as a young trainee working up north. I have the greatest respect for Ken. I am very sad to hear of his passing. May you Rest in Peace Ken. - Posted by: Bob Crawley (Co Worker) on: Dec 31, 2021
