SHEILA LESLIE CORDNER
She was predeceased by her husband John (Jack) Hunter Cordner in 2009, her sister Lesley McEwan in 2020, and her parents, Peter John McEwan and Margaret McEwan.
Sheila was born in Kirkcaldie, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1965. She and Jack were married in Kirkcaldie in 1969, then returned to Winnipeg where they settled into their home on Ash Street. Sheila taught at Aberdeen and Grant Park schools, finishing her career as a Home Economics teacher at St Mary's Academy. After Jack's passing, Sheila moved to Lindenholm Place on Wilkes Avenue where she enjoyed her new neighbours. Always outgoing and friendly, and with a delightful sense of humour, she will be sadly missed by a wide circle of friends, family and cousins, including Ian and Ann of Norwich, England.
Cremation has taken place and her ashes will rest with Jack's in Glen Eden's columbarium. At her request, no service will be held.

Remembering Shiela’s lovely personality and ideas. Gave good ideas in the Home Economics section. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Patricia Hamilton (Fellow teacher at St. Mary’s ) on: Jan 02, 2022

Dear Family and Friends of Sheila, Please accept my sympathy and loving prayers. I taught with Sheila at St. Mary's Academy and appreciated her gift of relating with staff and students. She has now received her eternal reward. Sister Alice - Posted by: Sister Alice Konefall (friend) on: Dec 31, 2021
