It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Sister, Ida Gies. Peacefully, at the Abbotsford Hospital with her two sisters at her side, she passed away on December 24 at 4:30 p.m.
Ida is survived by her daughter Vivian (David), sons, Lee and Jake. Also left to mourn are her sisters, Theresa, Ann (Randy), sisters-in-law, Rose, Lynda, Glenda, and many nieces and nephews.
Ida lived in Winnipeg until 2004, and moved to BC where she was a devoted and caring wife to her late husband Hartley. She enjoyed Bingo, Crocheting including donating several afghans along with her sisters to a transition house, her numerous dogs over the years and making bannock without a recipe.
